Nail Of Today

Hello fellow bumblers :)

This is my very first N.O.T. I say nail of today and not the week as in my job I’m lucky if my nails last 2 days without looking manky!

I’ve used Nails Inc Basil Street as my main colour and Barry M Lilac Foil for the accent colour.

Please excuse the poor application, I am not a nail tech but I love to paint my nails.

Take care

My sneaky little haul from RedRocks and H&H

A little while ago, I discovered a beautiful site that hand makes sterling silver and Swarovski jewellery.
I'm pretty sure that the pictures will speak for them selves, so I'll just get on and show you them.

I'm really sorry about the pic quality. There is nowhere in my house that is any good for taking pics at night and I'm rarely home before dark.
The little star fish earrings at the top are really different as they change colour from clear to gold in the light.
Also at the top is a star hair grip. This was a set of 2 but I have a sneaky feeling my 17 year old daughter has made off with it.
The beautiful matching star earrings are so stunning and would glam up even the simplest of outfits.

The clear heart shaped swarovski necklace is on a 16" chain but you can get this in various different sizes. I just prefer a shorter one.
The matching earrings are still on the card as I've not had chance to wear them yet.
I'm not sure if the camera has picked up the lovely pink colour of the bottom heart earrings. It's such a stunning pink, but not over the top.
All these lovely gems can be found here and are priced around the £16 price range, apart from the hair grips they were around £6 for 2.
These are things I've bought over a period of time, so I'm not boasting or anything. I just wanted to share these with you.

Below are a couple of handmade items that are so different to anything I've ever owned before!

On the right is an upcycled bangle which Amiee from Handmade and Heritage made for me.
It's wrapped around with decorative paper and then varnished and I think it's so cute and girly.
She has this available in different patterns which are made to order.
Next to it is something that I'd never heard of before and that's Steam Punk.
I still have no idea what it is, but when i saw this pendant I just really wanted to be part of whatever it was.
The ribbon is a rich, deep purple which just happens to be my favourite colour, although Amiee didn't know that!
The actual pendant is the remains of a fob watch and Amiee has redesigned the inside, which you will see better in the pic below.

I just couldn't help falling in love with this quirky unique piece, and at only £15-£16 I was really pleased with it.
If anyone is interested in any of Amiee's items you can find them here. There's some fantastic ideas for gifts on there.

I've just tried to show a more detailed look at the design on the bangle.

I really do recommend both of these sites for something a little bit different, that no one else is wearing

Bitten off more than I can chew?

Ok, I'll begin this post by saying YES I did when I thought blogging would come easy!

So why is that for me?  Well, I'll start by saying I featured products in my first blog that had been done to the death on either YouTube or on blogs. Therefore I didn't have anything to say that hadn't already been said.

So unless anyone specifically requests a review on any of the products featured then I'm going to start afresh and not try to follow other bloggers but write about things that I like that are different to what everyone else is writing about.

I've picked up some fab jewellery pieces recently, so my next post is going to be on those.
I have discovered the steam punk trend and picked up a great item at a great price!

I really hope that you'll all forgive me for not following up on my last blog post and let me start basically from scratch :)

I promise that there will be a new post tomorrow.

Take care

Autumn Haul So Far...........

Hi guys!
Have I got a haul for you. I'll be doing some reviews on the products, but if there's anything in-particular you'd like me to review then please shout up :o)
Everything will be listed. Please enjoy the pics and don't be too harsh on me, I'm only just starting out in this crazy old world of blogging X
Ok, I'll start with The 2 Avon products. The tall one is Skin So Soft body moisturising serum in Signature Silk. I bought this to try as an alternative to body butter. Not used it yet but will do a full review when I do.
The 2nd is Skin So Soft perfecting oil, I think this is a kind of bio oil type product and again not tried but will do a review.

In this pic we have the Coastal Scents eye shadow palette in 88 warm. I have used a couple of these shades so far but will do a full review on this product, so far of which I'm impressed :o)
Palmers Cocoa Butter Gradual Tanner ( has a much longer name to it but I was bored reading it so you would be too! Anyway, I haven't tested this and will be happy to find out if it can replace my current fav of Garnier summer body.
Bourjois bronzer in shade 52. Smells exactly like chocolate and liking it so far. Don't worry I am going to do full reviews for all products).
Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in shade 54. Loving this so far in every way.
Tresemme instant refresh volumising dry shampoo. Can't rate this highly enough. Atm I'm using it to style my fringe and give it some oomph and it's fab!

I have only just discovered Snow Fairy from Lush and it's to be discontinued mid December! I'm heart broken as it's the best smell I've ever found :o( I love it so much that I have the lip balm too :o)
In front of the Palmers, there's my new sleek palette from the Nudes Collection in 601 Au Naturel. Not sure on this one yet, will need to keep trying. Also, every sleek section in my area is filthy, the products and the stands. I hope it's not like that every where!!
Ooh mustn't forget my Bubblegum lip scrub From Lush. It's well...Lush I guess.
Loving my new MUA Heaven and Earth palette. Probably my most worn this last week.
Must also mention Gosh Nail Glitter in shades 05 Ruby Red, 01 Silver and 13 Topaz Lavender. Holly from YummyMummy Beauty Blog has tried these and had great results, where as I had a bit of a disaster :/

Moving on to more MUA products I bought the bronzer in shade 1 and it's quite shimmery, not 100% sure it's for me but I will give it a go and let you guys know. Atm I'm using the Bourjois and also a Fake Bake Beyond Bronze one.
Face powders, I bought L'oreal True Match in shade N4 Beige. I have tried this and I'm still undecided, but will report back. I also bought a Miners complete base matte face powder in medium. I don't want to say too much about Miners as I'm fairly new to this brand (maybe it's new too?) and I bought a few products and would like to do a combined review on all of them.
The chunky claw ring is from River Island sale, Bargain £2 and the little silver star hair grip is from an internet company called RedRocks which I'll link to at the bottom.

The little pink heart earrings again were from RedRocks and so were the star fish earrings.
The chunky bespoke made bangle again is an internet company buy from Handmade and Heritage and I will put the link so you can go see their work too.
L'oreal Chrome Shine eyeshadow in Cafe Lame. This is a repurchase as I just love the shimmer in this and can be used as a highlighter too.
Barry M Foundation Cream in shade 1 White. This to me is a little thick for a base. I didn't really like it. I did find it good for lightening your foundation if you have one that's a shade too dark, or like me have no tan on atm and need a little lighter shade :o)
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade light 2. I heard so many good things about this so I had to go get it, and I LOVE it! I have such dark circles but this covers them completely without any caking.

Sooooo if you're still with me, then we've come to the Miners little section. Again as I said before I want to do a full review on all the Miners products so i'm going to just go over them briefly.
I bought a lipstick in shade Barely Buff which is a really creamy nude. An Auto Lash everyday mascara in Brownish Black and a The Matte Factor Lip Paint in shade Light Pink. I can't wait to do this review as all the Miner products were very affordable :o)

Wella Create Character Texturising Spray. I bought this as an alternative to the expensive Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray, so we shall see if it can equal it in the review!
Avon Anew Skin Transforming Primer. So far I've found this to be a little thin in consistency but I'll plod on and see if I can get to like it.
Aussie Dual Personality Anti Frizz Conditioning Milk. Jeeeeez, have short names for products gone out of fashion?? Anyway, I bought this as I've mistreated my hair so much with colour stripping etc (yes, I know, I'm a hairdresser, I should know better) and to be honest I've not found anything professional wise that can sort out my frazzled locks, and believe me I've tried all sorts. Lets hope Aussie Can do miracles!!

Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm with SPF15 is a must for the autumn.

Last but not least! (I heard that yawn :p) The Too Faced Natural Eye Collection. Really looking forward to trying this out and seeing what I can come up with.
Ok you're now free to leave and yawn as much as you like and please please give me some feedback. I really need it.
Take Care
